Science curriculum planning examples – secondary

This collection of curriculum planning examples is from a fictional secondary school. The filled-in examples show how the VCAA curriculum planning templates could be used in a secondary school setting, focusing on Levels 9 and 10. 

The collection includes an example curriculum area map (CAM), example teaching and learning unit (TLU) and example assessment task (AT) for Levels 9 and 10, as well as an associated example curriculum area plan (CAP) for Years 7 to 10. An additional CAP based on the Department of Education’s Victorian Lesson Plans (VLP) lesson sequences for Science has also been provided.  

The VCAA has engaged practising Victorian teachers in the writing and development of its F–10 example planning resources.
