Capabilities guidance resource and curriculum planning examples – secondary

This collection includes curriculum planning resources and guidance for delivering the capabilities in and through the learning areas in a secondary school setting. The guidance resource includes key considerations when planning and implementing the capabilities, as well as examples of teaching and learning activities illustrating the explicit development of the capabilities within the curriculum. 

Curriculum planning examples from a fictional secondary school are included. These filled-in examples show how the VCAA curriculum planning templates could be used in a secondary school setting. The collection includes one example curriculum area map (CAM) for each of the 4 capabilities and one example curriculum area plan (CAP) for Years 7 to 10. 

The VCAA has engaged practising Victorian teachers in the writing and development of its F–10 example planning resources.
